Global Door are pleased to announce that we are now an official supplier of Avocet high security hardware. From this month you will be able to compliment any of our composite doors by upgrading to the industry acclaimed Avocet Affinity hardware suite.

Upgrading to the Avocet affinity range means you get an upgraded multi point lock (which has two hooks at the top and bottom instead of one), Affinity hardware which includes letterbox, lever or pad handle, contemporary urn knocker and adjustable butt hinges), and last but not least the market leading ABS Euro cylinder. What’s more, as we are an official supplier we are passing our discount straight onto our customers. This means the price you pay for the full hardware suite is less than you would normally pay for the cylinder alone!

This really is a great opportunity to make your brand new composite door even more secure. The ABS Euro cylinder is new to the market, and has received a lot of attention due to its patented ‘snap secure’ technology. Basically, if an intruder attempted to snap the lock (the most common form of forced entry on front doors) the cylinder breaks in such a way as to remain fixed in place, so the intruder still cannot get to the locking strip to gain access. The ABS Euro cylinder is being championed by more and more Police forces around the country, many of whom are urging people with normal cylinders in their uPVC or composite doors to upgrade to the Avocet ABS cylinder.
