front doors for homes…

We all like to take pride in our homes, and your front door is the first impression that people will get from your property. Not only can a composite front door greatly improve your security and cut down on heating bills, but they also look the part as well.

Boasting a 44mm thick slab that has easily surpassed the strict PAS23 weather testing accreditation, our composite front doors are coated in a robust GRP skin. Available in a choice of 7 colours, these skins boast a realistic timber grain that gives the appearance of real wood without the maintenance.

A front door for a home is always about more than just looks however, and security is something we take very seriously at Global Door. We are proud to say that every door we supply will come with a Yale multi-point insurance approved lock. We also use hardware that is accredited to Secured by Design – an initiative set up by the Police Force to ensure homeowners are not being put at risk by inferior products. All of our doors also meet PAS24 standard, meaning they have undergone a rigorous testing process regarding brute force attacks and forced entry. Rest assured, even Arnold Schwarzenegger couldn’t smash his way through one of our doors.

You may also be glad to hear during these cold winter months that as of October 2010 our composite front doors now comply with 2010 thermal building regulations. A Global composite door achieves terrific U Values, typically ranging between 1.2-1.6. We also supply any side panels or top boxes with toughed argon filled double glazed units as standard, making sure that your house is as thermally efficient as possible…
