If you live in a flat or apartment and are looking to replace your front door, you may or may not be aware that by law your door has to be fire tested for at least 30 minutes. This can also apply to doors leading into garages and occasionally communal entrance doors.
A door that has this accreditation is known as an FD30 door, or fire door. A composite fire door is a relatively new addition to the market, and something that not many companies can currently offer. FD30 composite fire doors appear exactly the same as a normal composite front door, save for the glass units which will have a pane of Georgian Wire Cast safety fire glass. It is the materials used on a composite fire door that set it apart, and our doors only use the highest quality components available.
