Well that was 1958 but now in 2016 everything has changed and \u201cEarthships\u201d \u2013 houses \/ homes built \u201cWomble style\u201d<\/a> with the things that most of us throw away are the way forward if you have any doubts they could soon be dispelled when you watch \u201cEarthships: self-sustaining homes for a post-apocalyptic US?\u201d<\/a> here are two examples of Earthships –<\/p>\n Earthships are cutting edge ‘green’ buildings, constructed using waste car tyres and other recycled materials. They use the planets natural systems to provide all utilities – using the sun’s energy and rain to provide heat, power and water.
