Over 80% of the overall strength of a bi-folding door comes from the corner join. Most manufacturers of aluminium windows and doors use a system of crimping or mechanically jointing the corners of their products with special corner cleats and chevrons. These methods can often open up over time as they become weaker, becoming unsightly and reducing energy efficiency. Poor corner joints can also lead to unwanted drafts and water ingress. Reynaers, being the industry leaders that they are, have found a method to combat this, and their bi-folds are bonded with an epoxy glue as standard.

Every last detail of a Reynaers bi-fold is manufactured to incredibly high specifications, allowing for excellent energy ratings (1.1 U value) and a water resistance of 600pa.
