Some ten years ago crouched over a lap top in the backroom of a pub the concept of Global Door a company to market composite doors on line was born and the door chosen by the new company to sell was Doorstop which was considered to be the best available at that time.
Door-Stop was established in 2008, it was then and still is one of the largest manufacturers of composite doors in the UK.
The relationship between the two companies was born and over the subsequent years the companies have evolved in parallel through changing product with regular upgrades and enhancements and continuous reinvestment in the inter company management relationship to make the task of purchasing a new door simpler for the customer.
Jointly the companies were one of the first to develop a “door designer” which allows the customer to design the door they want – style – colour – hardware and glazing and as with the whole of the Global Door web site the door designer has been improved and redesigned a number of times.
Door-stop is a supplier that prides itself on simplicity, cost efficiency and customer security – the cost efficiency is highlighted by the excellent thermal efficiency of the door and the lack of maintenance requirement provided by the GRP skins no painting or varnishing just the occasional wipe down – the GRP skins also hold the door rigid preventing warping twisting etc. – the security being highlighted by being one of the first manufacturers (some two years ago) to introduce the Ultion cylinder as standard as part of the multi point locking system – the Ultion cylinder is considered the safest available for the domestic market.
