Like losing a friend
-the moment when the Philae robot landing module left the Rosetta mother ship to the moment the Philae batteries gave out and now the deliberate crashing of the Rosetta module into Comet 67P/Chuyumov-Gerasimenko, here in the GFD HQ offices we have been ardent followers of this mission – so much so that with the demise of Rosetta we now seem to have created a little void in our collective lives. A bit emotional you might think for a company that sells doors – well maybe but we have been following this mission pretty closely –

it’s been a roller coaster of a journey – our only disappointment – although we have been sitting waiting patiently by the telephone for someone from Mission Control to call and congratulate us on our observations – the call just has not been made.
